life moves at warp speed. that's an understatement. why is it time goes by so much faster as you get older? i've tried to theorize it, and i just can't. ah well...this is what life is.
i got my job in Winnipeg so i'm moving in 2 1/2 weeks. i'm silently freaking out because that's not a whole lot of time to prepare, even though I am prepared. it's a weird feeling. i picked up some boxes tonight and felt like building a fort out of them more than packing them, but i did the right thing and packed 5 of them. i need to invite people over to my place to go through things and take them. i never realized i had so much "stuff" tucked away. how do i play these tricks on myself?
my job is only for a year, but the chance of getting on permanent there is good. i'm game for that as i hate moving (but i like setting up a new apartment) and don't want to have to move all of this crap twice in a year. my younger sister/friend type persons boyfriend is lined up to sublet my place (re: take it over b/c i'm probably not coming back) and i'm staying with a couple of friends and will take over their apartment as they are house hunting right now. their apartment is kinda neat - it's in St. Boniface (aka: the French area of Winnipeg which used to be it's own city), it's a character suite, it's in a good spot and it's cute. also, it's hardwood floors, sweet mouldings and spacious and only $15 a month more expensive than my place now. still 2 bedroom, so i can have my computer/sewing/craft room.
also, current work place is going through so many changes right now, i'm happy to get out and work somewhere consistent and be busy all day long!
on a lighter note, here are some of my flickr favourites this week. enjoy!

I miss you already. But, I hope the new place is great! You will have to send pictures. Good luck with the new position, I am sure you will fit right in and just never want to leave.
